The University's story began in 1916 in the historic town of Shahpur Sadar with the founding of O'Brien Islamia High School. Housed in elegant Indo-Saracenic red-brick buildings, the school had a mission that went beyond education: to enlighten minds, build character and create opportunities for the people of the region.

The institution later became Government College, which was granted a University Charter in 2002. From its main campus in Sargodha city, the University serves around 26,000 students and has more than 570 faculty members, over 300 of whom hold a PhD. | Read More
